There's really nothing more delicious than the British summertime. Just in time for the warmer, and longer, days, our brilliant chefs at Hotel du Vin have launched a new Al Fresco menu that boasts the best tastes of summer. Fresh, seasonal ingredients - plus our signature wine list and new colourful punches - have been created to be enjoyed, outdoors, with friends and family in each of the 15 historic and characterful properties across the UK. And, to celebrate the start of a new season and a new menu, we've redone our outdoor spaces making them brighter, more comfortable and more stylish to invite you and your friends, families and colleagues, in; from Scotland all the way down to the English coast. No matter which hotel you visit, you'll be treated to a menu with watermelon in salads, Scottish strawberries in puds, and boozy treats (try our Ginger Brewski!) in punch bowls. Yes, really. While we love each of our hotels and could never choose a favourite, we really don't want you to miss dining Al Fresco at Hotel du Vin Poole, Tunbridge Wells or Edinburgh… though you'll just have to visit to really see why.
Hotel du Vin Poole
Only a few minutes from the beach, Hotel du Vin Poole instantly transports guests from the hustle and bustle of the seaside in summer to a sunny oasis. The light bricks and tile, and sail-like cover weighed down by ships' wheels, brighten up the patio while flowers bloom in decorative boxes. You can easily get lost in the calm, knowing that a Hendricks Summer Punch is never too far away. For more details about Poole's summer Al Fresco Affair and list of events and activities click here
Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells
If you're looking for more than a great meal and fine wine, the gardens at Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells are set up for boules. A round or two of boules is surely one of the best ways to celebrate the summertime and is an excuse to get everyone together for a bit of friendly competition; the loser can buy the first round of Hendricks punch.
