CHELTENHAM FESTIVALS

Cheltenham Festivals is a registered charity that organises four festivals every year in Cheltenham.  Each festival with its personality and flare bringing some of the world's most iconic figures in their fields to the spa town. 

Jazz
Cheltenham Jazz Festival was formed in 1996 and has a reputation for innovation and creativity. Acts in previous years include Jamie Cullum, Gilles Peterson, Jools Holland, Charles Lloyd, Bennie Maupin, Van Morrison, Maceo Parker, Gwyneth Herbert, Tim Berne and Mr Scruff.

Science
Cheltenham Science Festival was formed in 2002 and hosts a science-based talent competition, NESTA FameLab. Guests in previous years have included Robert Winston, Richard Dawkins, Richard Hammond, Tony Robinson, Jonathon Porritt, Kevin Conrad, Colin Pillinger and Adam Hart-Davis.

Music
Cheltenham Music Festival was formed in 1945, and is the oldest member of the Festival family in Cheltenham. Events range from free family workshops and young artists’ projects, through to concerts from well-loved performers and the promotion of contemporary composers. Artists in previous years include Marc-André Hamelin, Craig Ogden, Calefax, the Dante Quartet, Noam Greenberg, Ingrid Fliter, Danjulo Ishizaka, the Pavel Haas Quartet, Danjulo Ishizaka, Allan Clayton and Paul Lewis.

Literature
Cheltenham Literature Festival was formed in 1949 and is now established as one of the country's principal literary events. It is the longest-running literature festival in the world. Most of the great names in modern literature have appeared at the festival at some time during its history. Guests include Toni Morrison, Ian Rankin, Kate Adie, Patrick Stewart, Richard Attenborough, Simon Schama, David Starkey, Antony Sher, Michael Parkinson, Terry Jones, Tony Robinson, Sandi Toksvig, Dawn French, Simon Armitage, Clive James, Ruth Rendell, Alexander McCall Smith, Bruce Parry and Roger Moore.

We are located on Parabola Road in the centre of Cheltenham. Only 3 miles from the M5, directly accessible from the A40 (M40) and A419 (M4). From the M5 Leave the M5 at junction 11 and follow signs for Cheltenham. Continue straight on until you pass TGI Fridays and come to some traffic lights. Follow the road veering to the left and continue straight down the Gloucester Road. Pass the train station on your right and continue straight over the mini roundabout. At the next traffic lights turn right into St Georges Road and follow to the second set of traffic lights. Move into the right hand lane and turn right into Bayshill Road. Take the first turning on the right onto Parabola Road. The hotel is located on the right hand side.
