Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Mu​seum is one of Scotland's most popular free attractions.​ With 22 themed, state-of-the-art galleries displaying an astonishing 8000 objects.

The collections are extensive, wide-ranging and include

  • arms and armour
  • art from many art movements and periods of history, and 
  • much more. 

Kelvingrove welcomes families with children, and its displays have been designed with children in mind. There are lots of interactives throughout the museum that will appeal to younger audiences.

DIRECTIONS FROM NORTH, SOUTH AND EDINBURGH

From the M8, take Junction 17 and follow sign for A82 Dumbarton/Kelvinside (Great Western Road). Continue straight along this road through: 1 Pedestrian Lights 3 Traffic Lights 2 Pelican Lights Approximately 1.5 miles after leaving the motorway, you will come to a set of traffic lights where the Botanics are situated on your right hand side, (junction of Byres Road/Queen Margaret Drive). Travel through these traffic lights, at the second set of traffic lights after the Hilton turn left into Hyndland Road. (You will see us on the corner of Hyndland Road with Great Western Road). Take first road to the right, into Hughenden Road, right again at the mini-roundabout and then a further right at the end of the road. We have limited parking onsite which is complimentary to residents.
