Hotel du Vin offers a highly distinctive, stylish and exclusive atmosphere for all kinds of private events.

Close to the city’s historic centre, Hotel du Vin York is a beautiful Grade II-listed building whose previous incarnations have included a private home and an orphanage. It houses two distinctive meeting and events rooms, Balfour and Ouse.

Function Rooms

Balfour is a stunning airy room has retained many of its original features such as its fireplace, wooden floorboards and stately Georgian windows, allowing the room to flood with natural daylight. Add to this the impressive mural of a hedonistic Roman feast and maybe you might feel inspired to have your own feast too.

The Ouse, like Balfour, also has floor to ceiling Georgian windows but has its own unique feel and provides a truly outstanding setting for your business.

Other function rooms available:

Library Lounge - a relaxed and informal lounge bar with comfortable sofas and chairs. Perfect for a break out room during the day and cocktail events by night.

Courtyard - a beautiful courtyard to the heart of the hotel, perfect for meeting recesses and drinks receptions.

Hotel du Vin Bistro - the bistro is an intimate and atmospheric dining room for entertaining. Maximum - table of 12.

Wine Cellar - our impressive wine cellar has over 500 bins. We will be please to arrange wine tastings or presentation of wines by our expert sommeliers for your private events. Alternatively ask about our wine dinner events.

Audio visual and conference facilities

Our audio visual equipment includes high speed complimentary Wi-Fi, LCD projectors, video teleconferencing and a dedicated organiser, all for less than you ever imagined.

Superb hospitality

Our friendly, professional staff are happy to take care of wedding receptions, private lunches and dinners, even your own wine tasting and of course, business meetings and lunches.

Function Packages and Pricing

DAY MEETING (7 DAYS A WEEK)
Bespoke meetings and events packages are available from only £35 per person. Subject to limited availability.

Includes room hire, LCD projector, flip cart and pens, note pads and pencils, granola bars, mints, a fruit bowl, still and sparkling mineral water, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks of tea, coffee and biscuits and a working two course buffet lunch.

£55.00 per person

24-HOUR MEETING (SUNDAY-THURSDAY)

Special rates are available from only £170.00 per person. Subject to limited availability.

Includes all the above with a three course dinner, one night's stay in a double room for single occupancy and a cooked breakfast.

£190.00 per person

CAR PARKING

Please be advised there are limited car parking spaces available onsite on a first come first serve basis for residents only. This will be charged at £10 per car, per day. Alternatively, guests are advised to use the Queen Street NCP.

Terms and conditions

All prices quoted include VAT and are correct at the time of going to print. Hotel du Vin reserves the right to alter prices, without prior notice, according to market fluctuations. A 10% discretionary service charge is added to the final billing of all receptions, lunches and dinner parties. Full terms and conditions provided on booking.
