To understand and bring your ideas to life (and make suggestions if needed) and then make it all come together on the big day - from arranging consultations with florists and hair stylists to designing the perfect menu and dressing the room.

Planning your special occasion
Both our private rooms: The Shipyard and The Bridge, as well as our bistro and lounge are licensed for civil ceremonies. Exclusive and partially exclusive use of the hotel can also be organised. The Bridge is an intimate room that accommodates one banquet table and sits up to a maximum of 10 people or 16 wedding guests for a ceremony. The Shipyard is the largest of our private rooms, it can accommodate one banquet table and sits up to a maximum of 22 people or up to 40 guests for a ceremony. Among its many features are exposed brickwork, an abundance of natural daylight, original art and exquisite views of the river Tyne and the Quayside. The Bistro can also be taken over and can accommodate ceremonies and wedding breakfasts for up to 80 guests. With French doors on to the large outdoor courtyard located in the centre of the hotel. This tranquil oasis provides the ideal outdoor location, with heaters and a cigar shack. This fantastic terrace and courtyard can be hired out exclusively for drinks receptions and alfresco dining and provides the perfect backdrop for photo opportunities.
We work with you to make your special day just that. We have three packages - Simply du Vin, Celebrate du Vin and I du Vin, all of which offer the same exacting standards of service and quality, and include complimentary menu tasting for the Bride & Groom, room hire, silver cake knife, tea lights, place & menu cards and table plan. Then you can chose the variations on drinks included, style of food served and number of courses. It goes without saying you all have a vast array of Champagnes and wines to choose from. We will of course, also tailor your specifically to you, so no matter the request we will make your dream day come true and Hotel du Vin Newcastle.
