Malmaison & Hotel du Vin are proud to be working closely with HIT training as we look to develop our current team members and those looking to join the hospitality sector.
In today’s market growing our own talent has to be a key focus for the business in order to keep moving forward. With the uncertainty over Brexit causing many workers to stay away or return home and UK unemployment at a record low, showcasing Hospitality as a career of choice and using Apprenticeships to attract & develop talent is vitally important in our strategy to combat the recruitment needs in a highly transient industry.
We acknowledge that our team members want to see which jobs they can reach and how they can reach them.
We have an extensive internal development programme that has seen numerous team members rise to senior positions within the business and the apprenticeships that we offer will compliment this.
Not only will the apprenticeship support their development, but we have worked closely with HIT training so we can co-ordinate our own internal and external training events to coincide with the apprenticeship framework to support the learning journey topics at the same time.
We have set a target of 2 apprentices in each hotel by the end of September 2019 and to have at least 5 by the end of March 2020. When we achieve this target we will see over 230 apprentices qualifying each year.
